Leaning Tower tickets at a glance

The tower has its own ticket with a fixed entry time. It costs €20 in 2026. The other monuments on the Piazza dei Miracoli, which are the baptistery, the Camposanto and two museums, are covered by separate tickets or a combined ticket. The cathedral has its own free entry pass.

The tower ticket has no reduced rate. There is no separate price for children, students or seniors. The ticket gives you the timed entry and a short historical introduction by staff.

This is an independent guide. Tickets are sold by the operator of the monuments, the Opera della Primaziale Pisana, through its own ticket shop and its ticket offices. Do not pay more to a site that only resells.

When and where to buy

The rules differ for online booking and for the ticket offices.

Online

Individual visitors can book online up to 90 days before, until the day of the visit. The cut-off follows GMT. The online quota is limited, so popular slots in high season can fill up.

Ticket offices

The ticket offices at the entrances to the square sell tickets from 15 days before the visit until the visit day. Do not plan around buying on the day if your date is fixed, because the tower slots are limited.

Your time slot

The tower ticket is tied to the time you choose. Arrive 15 minutes before it. If you are late, you can lose the visit without a replacement.

Payment and proof

Online payment is in euros by Visa or Mastercard, and the buyer must be at least 18. Show the original ticket PDF, on your phone or printed.

Changes, cancellation and validity

You can change the tower time or cancel the whole order up to 2 hours before your tower slot. Without the tower, you can cancel the whole order until midnight GMT on the visit day, as long as nothing has been used. The visit date itself cannot be changed directly. Read the terms again before you buy, because they can change.

Tickets for the other monuments are valid for one year from the date you choose, within opening hours. Each monument admits you once. It is not an annual pass for repeat visits.

Hours in 2026

The monuments are open daily, and the last entry is generally 30 minutes before closing. On 27 May 2026 the tower was open from 09:00–20:00. From 17 June to 31 August 2026 the tower hours were extended to 22:30. Cathedral visits for tourists start at 10:00.

For September and later, check the current timetable before you go. The Camposanto is free on 1 and 2 November.

Free and reduced entry

Children under 11 with an adult enter the monuments other than the tower without a ticket. People with a disability and their companion also enter without a ticket, and staff may ask for proof. For the tower, contact the accessibility team at least 5 days ahead. The climb itself has limits, which the climbing page explains.

School groups of at least 10 pupils pay €3 for a single monument or €6 for the full visit, with one teacher free per 10 paying pupils. A numbered pupil list is required. These rates do not reduce the tower price, which stays €20 for school groups too.

The operator recommends arriving 15 minutes early. A late arrival can mean you lose the visit without a replacement.
